There are many different types of correspondence that I was able to see throughout the various boxes that I sorted. Of this correspondence most of it fell into a couple broad categories that had to do with what type of correspondence it was. By this I mean there were a couple different kinds of correspondence, whether that be professional letters and faxes or personal letters, and then also the various types of communication between Hane and other scholars regarding each others’ works. All of these types of correspondence would most likely be a good way to sort the documents we have set aside so far. I think that a good subdivision that we could use as a way to increase the level of organization of the collection would be by individual correspondent. This could be anything from a single individual that Hane shared a lot of contact with to a university or institution that Hane regularly received letters or other communication from.
